Private Lessons

VIOLIN, VIOLA, CELLO, PIANO & FLUTE
All Ages - All Levels
All private lesson instructors are registered with the Suzuki Association of the Americas and associated with the Toledo Symphony Orchestra.

 

Introduction to Violin

Ages 4+ with no prior violin experience
The instructor for violin group class is TSSM faculty member and TSO musician Jenn Burns.

 

Fiddle Group Class

This class is appropriate for students that are playing open strings with a bow and beyond
The instructor for Fiddle Class is TSSM faculty member and Toledo Symphony Orchestra musician Cheryl Trace.

 

Violin Performance Group Class

Suzuki violin students in Books 1 & 2    
The instructor for violin group class is TSSM faculty member and TSO musician Jenn Burns.

 

Exploring World Music through Chamber Music for Violin & Viola

Violin and viola students studying Suzuki Book 3 or equivalent
World Music will be co-taught by TSSM faculty member and TSO musician Dr. Steven Kruse and BGSU faculty member Dr. Penny Kruse

 

Presto Flute               

Ages 7-10 with no prior flute experience
The instructor for Presto Flute is TSSM faculty member Toledo Symphony Orchestra musician Amy Heritage.

 

Flute Choir       

Late elementary-Jr. High School Students with at least one year flute experience
The instructor for Flute Choir is TSSM faculty member Toledo Symphony Orchestra musician Amy Heritage.

 

Clarinet Choir                    

Late elementary-Jr. High School Students with at least one-year clarinet experience
The instructor for Clarinet Choir is Toledo Symphony Orchestra musician Jocelyn Langworthy.

  

Chamber Ensembles

All Ages and All Orchestral Instruments
Chamber ensembles will be coached by faculty members of the TSSM and TSO musicians.

 

Music Appreciation Class (MAC)

Ages 18+    Attendees do not need to play an instrument
MAC will be led by TSSM faculty member and performing cellist, René Schiffer.
